At Cross the Culture we have made the case that this Great Commission is both “paramount” and “personal.” If you agree, you will have no trouble at all understanding the Great Commission is also, by it’s very nature, “pervasive.”

Our disciple-making must pervade who we are, where we go and what we do. We are on this earth to make disciples of Jesus and that task must permeate our thoughts, words, desires, goals and our very purpose in life. It must send us across the room, down the street and around the world with the message of Christ and the teachings of Christ. The disciple-making task drives us to permeate the entire world with the Gospel. We must go to the rich and the poor, the educated and the illiterate, to the urban centers of the world and to rural outposts around the globe. We must go demonstrating the love of Christ with our deeds and presenting the truths of Christ with our words. We must permeate every culture of the world with the Gospel, fulfilling the task He has given us – the task of global disciple-making.

To do any less – to confine the love and message of Jesus to our language, our race, our culture, our own little world -  is to live in blatant and defiant disobedience before God. Jesus said, “As you are going, make disciples of all the nations…!”
