Almost seven billion people live in the world right now and at best only two billion know Christ. This means that more than two-thirds of the world’s population (or four to five billion people) are lost.

Two verses come to mind as I think about the world, the first is John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son.” God’s love for all the people of the world motivated Him to send His only Son. Are we motivated by our love for the people of the world?

The second verse is John 20:21: “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” God loved the world, He sent His Son and if we know His Son, He calls us to go and share His love with the world. The word “sent” in John 20:21 comes from the Latin word “missio,” and we get the words “missions” and “missionary” from this word “missio.” Jesus was saying to His disciples, as the Father has made me a missionary, I am going to make you a missionary. You and I are God’s Plan A for sharing His love with the world He loves so much! There is no Plan B or C. We are His only plan.

So, tell me. How is His plan working in your life? You may not be able to tell the world about His love but you can tell your friend!
